Just a place to share what's happening in my life and the thoughts that go floating around in my head.

Photowalk 11.02.2017

As a college student I used to constantly make art just for the sake of making art. Whether that came in the form of drawing, writing or photography, I had all the time in the world to create.

Now that I'm working full time and a large part of my job is content creation, I find myself feeling rather drained in the weekends to even begin to think about my own personal projects. But I can't deny it, I love randomly creating!

New year means new goals so here goes to more photowalks / calligraphy / bullet journalling, whatever it may be. I'll also be posting more photos and other projects on my blog! I hope, dear reader, that you will find inspiration from these little excursions. 😊

LOCATION 1: KENNEDY TOWN

Our original plan was to hit up an old abandoned building covered with graffiti but unfortunately I had twisted my ankle a few weeks earlier and still healing. I knew exploring abandoned buildings meant a lot of climbing and ninja-ing and probably not a good idea for someone with a hurt ankle, so we ended up doing a bit of exploring.

One of the things I love about Hong Kong is the ease of finding absolutely stunning locations. We found a dodgy looking building and walked up to the roof. Great place to warm up the camera!

Some hard posing going on here.

 Messing around 😉

 Gotta love HK Rooftops!

LOCATION 2: INSTAGRAM PIER

I've been to Instagram Pier several times but my friend had never been and I thought with the pleasant weather, it would be a nice stroll. Indeed it was! Not only was the weather amazing, but for some reason Instagram Pier was relatively quiet. I guess it was no longer 'the' place to be anymore... Hong Kong people and their trends 😂

I'm not complaining though. It meant we could mess around quite a bit without being too embarrassed! Cue blasting the La La Land soundtrack on speakers and goofing about.

LOCATION 3: TAI HANG & LAI TAK TSUEN

After a brief break at a cafe (because walking is surprisingly tiring), we headed over to this mythical, mysterious legendary place that always appears on instagram. Safe to say, it lives up to the legend. Not only was it pretty hard to get into, but the place was eerily quiet. I had a funny feeling that a lot of random people (ourselves included) have been sneaking in to get that one shot. Talk about feeling awfully original at this point.

But I guess this wasn't my first time breaking into a place, so we managed to get in! We also decided to avoid the elevators to avoid detection and climb the stairs instead. What an absolutely horrific idea. My quads were burning and heart was pounding by the time we reached the top.

Pics or didn't happen? Well here they are!
