The Story of Jesus is a 25-week teaching series that began on 20 November 2016. It traces the narrative of Jesus’ life alongside the global church calendar, touching on the main events of His life in ‘real-time’.
The emphasis of the series was to reveal the humanity of Christ in His socio- historical context. I attempted to communicate that Jesus must be understood through different angles and perspectives in order for us to understand His teachings. The imagery I drew inspiration from was a prism. One beam of light can shine into a prism and produce a whole array of different colours.


By using triangles and layering them over each other, I wanted to create the effect of the shapes coming together to complete a picture of Jesus, much like how light is actually made out of a whole array of colours coming together.
All the photographs/images used are rooted from Jewish culture to breakdown our own stereotypes of what Jesus looked like, where He was from and the environment he was in.
